Mathematics
About the Department
The Department of Mathematics was started in the year 1988. In the year of 2012, we introduced B.Sc. Mathematics programme. It was upgraded to the Postgraduate Department in the year 2015 by introducing M.Sc. Mathematics programme. A partial research programme (M.Phil. Mathematics ) has been offered since the academic year 2018.

Facilities
- A projector with a smart board facility is available for students.
- Net Facility available in the department.
- Staff and students are utilizing the department Library.
Mode of Teaching
Other than the Chalk and talk method, students are taught by using the smart board and online applications like google meet, and Google Classroom.

- Monitoring of Student's Absence.
- Conducting General Aptitude Classes.
- Counselling has been given to slow learners.
- Motivate students to present papers in seminars (or) Conferences to promote them regarding the research field.
Future Plans
- Initiate Ph.D. program in the future.
- Introducing Add-on Courses.
- Making MOU with Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS).

International Yoga Day Celebration -2023International Yoga Day was celebrated in our college Seminar hall on 21st June 2023. The special class and Demo organized on Yoga which was taught by Mr. S. Sathiyamoorthy, M.Com., M.Phil., MA (Yoga), Yoga Instructor, Assistant Professor in Commerce, APCAS. He has given the great idea and awareness of the importance of yoga and he also instructed various yoga asanas’ for students and staffs. More than 300 students as well as teaching and non-teaching staffs participated in the yoga program and benefited.
