About the Department
Adhiparasakthi College of Arts and Science is the first college to introduce innovative job oriented Microbiology course at the Undergraduate level in the whole of South India in the year 1988-1989. It was upgraded to the Postgraduate level by introducing M.Sc., Microbiology in the year 1993-1994. A partial research program (M.Phil. Microbiology) is being offered from the academic year 2005-2006 and Ph.D Microbiology programme from 2008 onwards.

International Yoga Day Celebration -2023International Yoga Day was celebrated in our college Seminar hall on 21st June 2023. The special class and Demo organized on Yoga which was taught by Mr. S. Sathiyamoorthy, M.Com., M.Phil., MA (Yoga), Yoga Instructor, Assistant Professor in Commerce, APCAS. He has given the great idea and awareness of the importance of yoga and he also instructed various yoga asanas’ for students and staffs. More than 300 students as well as teaching and non-teaching staffs participated in the yoga program and benefited.
