INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL
Date of Establishment of IQAC: 26-09-2007
Aim:
• To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
• To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Composition:
• Chairperson: Head of the Institution
• Teachers to represent all levels (Three to eight)
• One member from the Management
• Few Senior administrative officers
• One nominee each from local society, Students and Alumni
• One nominee each from Employers /Industrialists/Stakeholders
• One of the senior teachers as the coordinator/Director of the IQAC.
Term:
• Two years.
Meeting:
• At least once in a quarter.
Functions:
• Development and application of quality benchmarks
• Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
• Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
• Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
• Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders;
• Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
• Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
• Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
• Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;
• Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
• Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC..

External Peer Team
The External peer teams will interact with the IQAC and department faculty to know the progress, functioning as well as quality sustenance initiatives undertaken by them.
Composition:
• Subject / Administration Experts from other Colleges.
Functions:
• To monitor and ensure that the practices followed in the Campus are in tune with the Academic Policy adopted by the College with specific emphasis on its Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
• To evaluate the functioning of IQAC in the campus and its control framework as well as to assess the degree to which activities complied with the Regulations, Policies, and Standards.

IQAC has been functioning in the college since 2007 with a thrust on academic excellence.
The main task of IQAC is planning and monitoring and this is accomplished through the following functions:
1. Facilitating the CDDC (Curriculum Design and Development Cell) in creating a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education.
2. Consolidating the Feedback responses from students, parents, and other stakeholders.
3. Disseminating information on the various quality parameters of higher education. Documenting the various quality-enhancing programmes /activities of the college.
4. The Curriculum Design and Development Cell (CDDC) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) function at the institutional level primarily with internal and external expertise.
